    l Xinghong Zhao obtained a Master’s degree in Pharmacology at the Sichuan Agricultural University in 2015 and got his Ph.D. degree at the University of Groningen in biomolecular sciences and biotechnology: Lantibiotic engineering in 2020. He did a postdoc at the University of Groningen from 2019 to 2021. He was appointed associate professor of the Department of Pharmacy at the Sichuan Agricultural University in 2021.

    Research Interests

    l Specific current interests are synthetic biology, antimicrobial mechanism of novel peptides, novel antimicrobial peptide development via genome mining and machine learning approaches, and targeted nanodelivery systems for antimicrobials and vaccines.
